About Us

At Insight IQ, our mission is to bring clarity, expertise, and confidence to the special education evaluation process. We believe every child deserves a high-quality, comprehensive evaluation that not only meets legal requirements but also provides meaningful insight to support their success in school and beyond.

Who We Are

Insight IQ is a team of veteran Educational Diagnosticians with more than 20 years of experience in public education and over 15 years dedicated specifically to evaluation. We have tested students of all ages—from preschoolers as young as 3 through high school seniors—providing extensive assessments that reflect both state and federal guidelines.

Our evaluators are not only highly experienced—they are currently active in school settings, bringing up-to-the-moment knowledge of policies, procedures, and what schools expect to move forward with services.

What Makes Us Different

Unlike private psychologists, we bring decades of direct, school-based experience. Our diagnosticians, in addition to conducting several thousand evaluations, have facilitated thousands of ARD/IEP meetings and are deeply familiar with what schools need from an evaluation, as well as how the process works – from start to finish. We know the questions schools will ask—and often have the answers ready before they are spoken. Most importantly, we can explain the school’s perspective while ensuring families feel heard and empowered throughout the process.

Some families may choose to work with a psychologist, believing that a doctoral-level evaluator will provide a more detailed report or carry more weight with the school. In reality, these reports often lack the thoroughness and specificity required for the ARD/IEP process, as evaluation is not always the psychologist’s sole focus in their practices, which can lead to additional school testing, unanswered questions, frustration, misunderstandings with the school, and ultimately, delays in services. This can result in wasted time, money, and opportunities for the child.

At Insight IQ, we design evaluations with the school setting in mind. We know the questions to ask and the data needed to provide a comprehensive, complete evaluation that any school team can use to develop an effective plan—whether that results in Section 504 accommodations or Special Education recommendations.

Our goal is not only to deliver accurate results but also to bridge the gap between families and schools. Too often, confusion about why a school may question or push back on a private report can create unnecessary tension. We aim to reduce that conflict by providing evaluations that speak both to the family’s concerns and the school’s requirements, ensuring collaboration instead of division.

In addition, we have access to a network of private school psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. This allows us to provide specialized evaluation components when needed, particularly in areas such as Autism and Emotional Disability, where multidisciplinary expertise is essential.

Our Values

  • Expertise: Grounded in years of hands-on evaluation and current best practices.
  • Clarity: Turning complex data into practical, easy-to-understand information.
  • Collaboration: Building strong connections between parents, educators, and administrators.
  • Integrity: Ensuring fairness, compliance, and accuracy in every step.
  • Student-Centered: Always focusing on what will best support the child’s educational journey.
  • Honesty & Data-Driven: We strive to be open and transparent about our results, focusing on the whole child and the broader picture. We follow the data wherever it leads—because the truth is what ultimately drives the best plan for a student’s success.

At Insight IQ, we do more than evaluate—we translate, connect, and guide. With the wisdom of experience, we help families and schools work together to create the best path forward for every student.
